Common questions

What is AI search, and how is it different from Google?
AI search is when someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude or Google's AI Overviews a question and gets one written answer instead of ten links. 51% of B2B software buyers now start their research with an AI chatbot more often than with Google (G2, 2026). Read how AI search picks who to recommend.
How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity?
Give the AI a clear, machine-readable identity (Schema.org structured data), consistent facts about your business across the web, real third-party authority, and pages that answer your buyers' questions directly. There is no ad slot to buy. Our services build each layer. Start with the free scan.
What does "your domain can be spoofed" mean?
It means nothing tells Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo to reject email that pretends to come from you. Criminals use that to send fake invoices and payment-change requests from your real address. The fix is a DMARC policy at quarantine or reject (DMARC.org). Business email compromise cost US businesses about $2.8 billion in 2024 (FBI IC3, 2024).
How do I know if my email is on a spam blacklist?
Our free scan checks the servers that send your email against Spamhaus, Barracuda, SpamCop and other blocklists, and checks your domain against the Spamhaus Domain Blocklist. A listing usually means an infected computer, a hacked website form or a bulk send. We name the cause and the removal link.
Do Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft really reject email now?
Yes, for senders that do not authenticate. Gmail requires SPF or DKIM for all senders and DMARC for bulk senders (Google sender guidelines). Since May 5, 2025, Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live mailboxes enforce the same rules for anyone sending them more than 5,000 messages a day (Microsoft, 2025). The scan shows where you stand against each rule.
What is E-E-A-T, and why does it matter for AI?
Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness. It is Google's framework for judging quality (Google Search Central), and the same signals shape what AI engines are willing to repeat: named authors, real credentials, reviews and a verifiable business. More on what E-E-A-T means.
What is schema (structured data), and why do AI engines need it?
A standard vocabulary (Schema.org) you add to your pages so machines can read your business as data: who you are, what you do, where you are. Clean structured data is one of the strongest levers for being understood and cited.
What is llms.txt, and do I need one?
A simple file at your domain root that gives AI models a clean map of your most important pages (llmstxt.org). Not every engine reads it yet. It is low risk, and we add it as part of readiness.
I already do SEO. Does that help my AI visibility?
Yes. AI visibility is built on top of SEO, not instead of it. Google's AI Overviews increasingly cite pages that already rank (BrightEdge). Our sister company The Google Helper runs the SEO side.
My site ranks #1 on Google but AI never mentions me. Why?
Ranking and AI recommendation are now two different systems. A site can rank well and still lack the entity clarity, structured data and citable authority an AI needs before it names you. About 58% of US Google searches already end without a click (SparkToro). Run the free scan to see your gap.
Can I measure whether AI engines recommend me?
Yes. The free scan scores your domain in about 10 seconds. The full report includes live answers in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity for your buyers' questions. Request the full report.
What does GetEEAT actually do?
We scan, we report, and we fix. AI readiness work is done by GetEEAT. Email and domain security fixes are done by our sister companies Help For Mail, InboxLogo and Ransom Security. See a real case study and our services.
Is this worth it for a small or local business?
Especially for local businesses. Buyers ask an assistant "who is the best [trade] near me?" and call the one name it gives. Most local sites are not ready yet, so the first one that is gets the call.
